Carmel's College Magazine Analysis.

This Magazine has a specific target audience of 16+, with its primary focus on college attendees, and the acquisition of new people to join Carmel College. This is apparent, as the majority of the magazines content is focused on promoting the college, and presenting its education in a 'propagandist' light. This is its main source of interest, as people who are looking for a suitable college to attend, will find the success of Carmel College to be a palatable solution. The main ideas and interests of the Magazine itself, is primarily focused around the presentation of information and Mise-en-scene on the front cover.

The main picture of the young girl with an ecstatic expression, because of the exam results in her hand, instantly connotes the success of Carmel Colleges students, with its supposed 99.4% A level pass rate. This leads on to explain its primary interests, regarding the success of its student, and its aim of "academic excellence for all. This is connoted through the bright and colourful text and format of the main cover, and through the first 2 pages of the magazine, which goes on to explain its academic expansion and consistency. As a form of attraction, it is likely that the Mise-en-scene, in concordance with the image at present, connoting success, that this magazine would definitely attract the audience in which it aims, and is an accurate representation of the content to follow throughout the rest of the magazine.
